On the evenings of February 16th and 17th, the Merchants and Drovers Tavern will once again transform into an old saloon and hotel, eerily lit by candlelight, and occupied by a few peculiar guests with some very disturbing stories to share….

The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum cordially invites you to join us for our 2024 “I Heart Horror” event! This year, your ticket will grant you admission to an evening of drinks, snacks, and live, in-character readings of short stories by the American author, journalist, and Civil War veteran Ambrose Bierce.

Admission is $30 for the general public and $25 for members and students under 21. Your ticket includes two spirituous drinks (for 21 and over), light refreshments, and dramatic, in-character readings of Bierce’s short stories by costumed actors in an atmospheric setting on different floors of the old hotel.

There will be three shows per night for two nights only, with room for just 13 lucky guests per show – and this event WILL sell out!
