The African American History & Heritage Learning Center of Rahway was established as a museum and historic sight in 2015 and is located on Central Avenue, next to the Ebenezer A.M.E. Church.  The museum building was erected in 1844 and became a schoolhouse for African American children in 1872.   Pastor Robinson will share with us the fascinating history of the site, the story of the people who came through its doors, its legacy in Rahway, and its development as a museum, as well as its mission in not only housing collections, but as a resource center and community space. There will be a Q&A at the end.
