February 10, 2024 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm America/New York Timezone

Join the City of Rahway and the Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum for a History Talk & Tour on Saturday, February 10; the event will be offered twice, at 10:00 AM and again at 11:00 AM.

Presenters Alex Shipley and Rick Zdan will discuss the role the United States Colored Troops (USCT) played in the Civil War, focusing on Rahway’s connection to the African American soldiers who fought for the Union Army. The event will include a talk at the museum (1632 St. Georges Avenue), followed (weather permitting) by a short tour of selected burial sites in the adjacent Rahway Cemetery.

The event will last approximately 45 minutes and is free to the public.
