History Meets Mystery at the Paranormal Academy!

Get ready for a stimulating experience where history and the supernatural collide! Paranormal researcher Brian J. Cano is bringing his Paranormal Academy to the Historic Merchants & Drovers Tavern Museum — and you’re invited to enroll.

This ongoing series of hands-on classes explores the real techniques behind ghost hunting. The next event, on Mary 23, and will be all about Going Old School!

Going Old School: Exploring Spiritualism, Psychics and the Metaphysical

Before there were devices, there were people.

In this third session, we step back into the origins of paranormal investigation—exploring Spiritualism, psychic perception, and the metaphysical practices that shaped the field long before modern tools entered the picture.

Because if you only rely on equipment, you’re only seeing part of the story.

In this class, we’ll explore:

  • The rise of Spiritualism and its influence on modern investigation

  • The role of psychics and intuitive perception

  • Methods and practices that predate today’s technology

  • How to evaluate these approaches with a critical, grounded mindset

This isn’t about replacing tools—it’s about expanding your understanding of the field and learning how these elements fit into a complete investigative approach.

If you’ve been focused on the equipment, this is where the bigger picture comes into focus.

Participants of Paranormal Academy sessions will be invited to take part in a special, student-only investigation later in the year — where history might just whisper back! 👻 Plus, attendees of the first January class will unlock an exclusive discount for all future Paranormal Academy courses in 2026.

Whether you’re a curious newcomer or a seasoned ghost hunter, this is your chance to learn from one of the best — and maybe even meet a spirit or two along the way. History comes alive… sometimes literally!
