Gadgets & Gear: Building a Better Paranormal Toolkit
Technology has always played a role in paranormal investigation—from early electrical experiments to today’s sensor-heavy toolkits. This class takes a grounded, practical look at how equipment fits into serious paranormal research.
 

We’ll begin with a concise lecture on the history of technology in the paranormal, tracing how investigators have used (and misused) tools over time, and what lessons still apply today. From there, we’ll move into clear-eyed reviews of popular modern devices, discussing what they claim to do, what they actually do, and where they’re most—and least—useful in the field.
 

The class will also cover apps and mobile tools, with tips on how to use them responsibly, what to watch out for, and how to avoid common pitfalls that can compromise data. Throughout the session, we’ll focus on matching equipment to methodology rather than chasing trends.
 

Attendees are welcome to bring a piece of equipment they’d like help understanding or evaluating, time permitting. Please note that this session is instructional and discussion-based and is not a ghost hunt or investigation.
