Holiday Candlelight Evening

Featuring Music by The Rowdy Bardlings

Saturday, December 13, 2025
7pm to 10pm

This December, our historic tavern will once again be decorated for the holidays, and guests are invited to join us from 7-10 p.m. for an evening of food, drink, music, and merriment at the annual Candlelight Evening!

This year's event will feature the lively Celtic music of The Rowdy Bardlings, including many Christmas tunes - and a musician playing the unusual nyckelharpa instrument (a type of keyed violin). We will be serving wine, beer, and warm Swedish Glogg, hot and cold savory appetizers, sweet snacks, and mulled cider and soft drinks, in a candle-lit building decked with pine and holly, with a fire glowing in the kitchen hearth.

Come in out of the December cold for a evening of traditional holiday warmth with fellow history lovers - and discover what the nyckelharpa sounds like in person! Doors open at 6:45.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 members/seniors/students under 21 (alcoholic drinks for 21 and over only).
