The Museum has no association with the Cemetery besides being a good neighbor.

Rahway Cemetery is located on the corner of Saint George’s Avenue and Westfield Avenue. The original part of the cemetery is located close to Saint Georges Avenue and the oldest known tombstone dates to 1724. The First Presbyterian Church was originally located on the cemetery property before being moved to its present location on the corner of West Grand Avenue and Church Streets.
Many famous people are buried in Rahway Cemetery, including a local mystery author, Revolutionary War Soldiers, Civil War Soldiers, a famous WWI Doctor, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum runs annual tours of Rahway Cemetery in October. Tours are available year round upon request by calling the museum office at (732) 381-0441.
