ATTENTION ALL GOLFERS

  17th Annual Golf Outing will be held  October 2nd 2006.  Participants  meet at the Merchants & Drovers Tavern for Breakfast at 8:00 AM before heading out to Oak Ridge Golf Course in Clark for our 10AM tee time. The  registration fee of $100.00 includes greens fees, an electric golf cart, dinner at the Merchants and Drovers and a chance to win a cash prize. It also includes a donation to the Merchants And Drovers Tavern Museum Association.

Golfers who would like to sign up for this years event, which is open to members and non-members, should call Ted Nevins at (732) 499-0279 or 732-881-3642

Ted is also looking for booster and sponsors for this fundraiser. For $60 a booster gets his/her name, or the name of his/her business, in the program. A $100.00 donation buys a hole. We would like to personally invite you to attend the 17th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, October 2nd at Union County's Oakridge Golf Course, to benefit the Merchants and Drovers Tavern. The golf outing is one of the major fundraising events for the Museum and has been successful in the past, thanks to our "golfing" supporters. Can you join us this year?!

The attached flier contains all of the pertinent details. The cost per golfer is $100.00. If you would like to join us, (and bring a friend or two!) please complete and detach the bottom of the page, write your check payable to MDTMA (Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum Association) and mail it to us as soon as possible.

The Association is also offering hole Sponsorships for the price of $100.00 and Boosters for $60.00. If you would like to sponsor a hole, or know someone who might, please refer to the Sponsorship letter enclosed or feel free to contact us and we'll send them a request directly.

On October 2, 2006 the Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum Association will be conducting their 17th Annual Golf Outing at OAK RIDGE Golf Course. This fundraiser plays a major role in the Association's overall revenue plan to keep the historic Merchants and Drovers Tavern and the Terrill Tavern open and functioning as public museums.

The concept behind the outing is for the participants to have a good time and to solicit a large volume of sponsors, all contributing a small portion. In this spirit, we are requesting you to be a sponsor of this event. The cost is $100. per hole and in return for your tax deductible gift, a pennant with the inscription "This hole sponsored by '_________'(your company name)" will be posted at one of the 18 holes. Also, your company name will be prominently listed in our program. Should you desire to donate more than $100.00, then multiple pennants will be posted.

We are also offering a "booster" program, which you can participate in with a donation of $60. All boosters will be listed in the program as well.

We invite you to join us on that day. The fee is $100.00 per golfer and the enclosed flier contains the details, as well as the phone number to call and reserve your group's foursome.

The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum is a volunteer, non-profit organization. Your tax deductible contribution is sincerely appreciated. Please return the bottom section of this letter with your check payable to the (MDTMA) Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum Association.
